- Arsene Wenger’s men humbled BATE Borisov 6-0 at the Emirates last night
- They have qualified top of the group and await the last-32 draw on Monday
Arsenal last night thrashed Belarusians BATE Borisov 6-0 in the Europa League at the Emirates, completing a successful group stage in Europe.
Though the Gunners had already qualified top of their group, there should be reason to worry about who they face in the round of 32.
Teams that have dropped out of the Champions League will now enter the fray and Arsenal should be aware of who they might face, if recent Europa League draws are anything to go by.
Here are the 8 teams that have dropped out of the Champing League:
Atletico Madrid, CSKA Moscow, RB Leipzig, Sporting Lisbon, Borussia Dortmund, Celtic, Napoli and Spartak Moscow.
Arsene Wenger’s men are likely to avoid seeded teams i.e. Atletico Madrid, CSKA Moscow, RB Leipzig, Sporting Lisbon but could face Borussia Dortmund, Napoli, Spartak Moscow or Celtic.
The draw will be held in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday.
Along with the teams that dropped out of the UCL, Arsenal could also face AEK Athens, FC Astana, FC Copenhagen, Steaua Bucuresti, Ludogorets Razgrad, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Ostersunds, Partizan Belgrade or Real Sociedad.
Round of 32-matches will take place between 15th and 22nd of February 2018.
